Come and enjoy the Spring 2017 Wine Pickup Party. A complimentary event for Wilhelm Family Vineyards Wine Club Members. Come and enjoy Karyl's Spring release paired with a delicious selection from her kitchen.
This is something we do for our Wine Club Members twice a year. Karyl selects the wines included in the Spring shipment (or pickup at the winery) but as an additional benefit, she pairs six small food tastings with each wine selection.
This pickup party event has been such a huge success, we expanded to both Saturday and Sunday.
We do offer non-members an opportunity to enjoy for just $20 per person.
A crisp, deceptively light white wine with wonderful versatility. Fruity notes of lemon, pineapple, and green apple blend for a complete journey of tart beginning, soft mid-mouthfeel and lingering apricot finish. As a pairing, this wine can encourage the subtle nuance of soft cheeses, such as warm Brie, then switch to impressively balance the most delicious of shrimp scampi. Personally, I like it all by itself.
This tasty white varietal offers a light refreshing versatility with fruity aromas, luscious tastes, and a hint of sweetness. Think tropical delights of juicy pear, pineapple, and guava notes. Combine tropical with a fresh kiwi and banana mouthfeel and a crisp finish for a great combination. You can pair this wine with cheese and crackers, a decadent seafood dinner, or a good book poolside.
2012 Cabernet Franc Private Reserve:
Intriguing with notes of black raspberries, blueberries, & violets. Complex with dark chocolate mocha, a hint of gravelly minerality, & an oaky, velvety mouthfeel, this Cab franc has silky smooth tannins & lingering, light spice finish. Aged in medium and neutral French oak for 42 months, then finished with 8 months in the bottle. Pairs well with hearty beef dishes, such as stroganoff and beef bourguignon.
2011 Sangiovese Private Reserve:
Wonderfully earthy, this wine is rich with flavors of dark cherries, red plum & fig. Roasted tomatoes, herbs, & bell peppers with firm oak notes excite the mouth mid-taste, and smooth, smoky tannins round out the finish. Aged 36 months in medium toast French oak and 12 months in neutral French oak barrels, then finished with 12 months in bottle. Pairs well with Mild Italian sausage with mushrooms, pasta, and friends.
Defined as ‘an exclamation of elation, passion, and approval’, we think this is a terrific name for our lightly sweet prickly pear and passion fruit sangria with a bold jalapeño kick at the finish. Prepare for an explosion of tasty, all natural fruit flavors with a sultry heat to satisfy your fiery side! I handcraft Arriba with crisp, quality table wine and infuse all natural ripe fruit and jalapeño flavors. As always, I produce only vegan-friendly wines for you to feel good about enjoying. I hope you enjoy Arriba as much as I enjoyed creating it!
White Chocolate Almond Dessert (Port Style):
White Port made the traditional Portuguese way with fermentation arrested at just the right sweetness level, this Port boasts a lovely almond nose with a luscious white chocolate finish.
